3 Keys to Eliminating Infection
Effective kill shots
Handling die-off detox
Preventing relapse
Focusing on just how to kill infection does not address problems of handling die-off and possibility of relapse.
It also fails to see what causes low immunity and vulnerability to infection in the first place, especially toxicity and nutrition.
Some infection is not even external but the result of internal imbalances like lack of good probiotics, dysbiosis, and deficiencies that can directly create mutagens. Candida fungi are actually mutant forms of healthy yeast when other cofactors of health are missing—everyone has heard this but they do not fully understand and act on the implications because it’s just kill, kill, kill rather than nourish to strengthen.
This is called the terrain theory: it’s not the bug from the outside, but the terrain of the whole body that really matters.
Other infections like lyme bacteria of external source but it still comes back to strengthening immunity by addressing the interrelated factors like toxic body burden. Immunity is not just about agents like white blood cells, but the health of the spleen that make white blood cells and other organs that feed the spleen, like organs of digestion: gut, pancreas, liver, etc. They are all working together and the weakest link maybe invisible and distant from where symptoms appear: in your head with brain fog, a food allergy, etc. People can have the same symptoms and different causes, or different symptoms and same causes.
WHY COMPLETE NUTRITION IS ALWAYS FIRST
Complete nutrition that corrects all your deficiencies of minerals, vitamins, probiotics, protein, fat, etc. is the first line of defense and prevents some of the root cause. Nutrition is highly individualized: from your ideal diet to what nutritional deficiencies and other weak links are holding you back right now .
Phosphorous deficiency, for example, can lead directly to a pathogenic form of pseudomonas, a common bacterial infection. I found that in a footnote of Wikipedia entry, as an aside in a vastly under-researched or discussed area. Administration of phosophorous converted pseudomonas back to a healthy form.
Unutilized iron and calcium form part of the biofilm shields pathogens use to protect themselves.
Unbound iron or ferritin in labs. Both iron and calcium can accumulate and are more available for this little conspiracy when they are not bound to cofactor nutrients through a chain of deficiencies: iron requires copper in the enzyme ferroxidase, that requires magnesium, A, and the right balance of potassium and sodium. These are cofactors in a system. If you are missing one the whole system has a weak link and slows down to the level of the weak link as the rate limiting factor.
When iron accumulates it is oxidizing or a free radical that steals electrons to create damage like inflammation. The connection to infection has been well researched through the Iron Disorders Institute and broader implications explained by Morely Robbins.
Calcium requires magnesium to be utilized and is joined by phosphorus in bones and teeth as calcium phosphate. Unbound calcium is part of the cause of osteoporosis and can accumulate in arteries, in joints and between vertebrae as painful stenosis instead of going into the bones.
All nutritional deficiencies lead to weaker organs and immunity in thousands of ways that are more researched than anyone ahs time for, and at the same time not fully understood. Focus first on the few root causes of nutrients not the many symptoms.
Nutrition is essential for correcting root causes, handling die-off, and attacking pathogens when necessary.
DIE OFF is DETOX
Die off when killing bugs can creates a tired or sick feeling as part of a toxic condition.
Boosting general detox capability should be part of any strategy to handle die-off and address this key root causes of weak immunity and just about any symptom.
First, one of the effects of infection are toxic by products like Actelhyde from candida. These are sometimes referred to as endotoxins, for internally produced toxins. More of this may be released during die-off.
Acetaldehdye requires molybdenum to process. With infection and toxicity more nutrients like this are needed so a deficiency may result and symptoms worsen. With deficiencies come more problems, like sulfur intolerance or lack of utilization that you don’t notice, because sulfur requires molyb as a cofactor. Then people may take molyb supplements, usually in the glycinate form that they might not tolerate. They do not exhaust the list of foods with molyb nor try every form of supplement. This might not be the only cause of sulfur or thiol intolerance, and there are people forced onto low thiol diet because they can’t solve this. Andrew Cutler believes that mercury deeply deranges sulfur metabolism, but I’m not sure this is for reasons beyond molyb deficiency because I’m not sure they have exhausted all the sources of molyb. Avoidance strategies, however necessary in the short term, seem to admit a failure to explain why and how to fix.
Molyb is also necessary to convert sulfites to sulfates that are important for detoxification.
Toxicity is the bigger problem as the mechanism by which infection makes an impact, and a root cause of weak organs and immunity. Toxicity is a matter of total body burden to things like metals, chemicals, and mold, and environmental expose to electronics and artificial lights especially at night. All these lower “immunity” in the broadest sense.
Biofilms also contain other toxins like the metals mercury and aluminum that are releases in die off that require things to neutralize whether binders or antioxidants. It’s best to prepare the organs to do this before being aggressive.
You need a general foundation in detox boosting that builds upon basic nutrition that does a lot by itself, and then, for example, add antioxidants like ascorbates that act against toxins and pathogens both. Antioxidants work together and include glutathione. The ultimate antioxidant is alpha lipic acid that acts on its own and recycles the others to multiply their affects, but that is the top of the detox pyramid and requires a few layers of foundation and following rules so that you do not hurt yourself, which is very possible. I have written three posts/web pages recently explaining detox stages that you can easily find on your own.
RELAPSE depends on Preparation
Relapse is the return of the infection after treatment.
The most common explanation for this is that the bugs develop resistance to kill shots. This is true in many cases like for antibiotics but there are many things that infection cannot resist fully, which I am not going to explain because that’s easy to figure out and I am not going to get into anything that sounds like advice to people I don’t know. I am not shopping consultant because I do not participate in partial solutions based on guessing about individual needs. I am here to educate in a transformation of health paradigms.
Relapse occurs because your body has not increased in strength with more nutrition and detox, which could have become worse with die-off or use of toxic antibiotics.
In his book on lyme, Richard Horowitz observed that strategies relying on antibiotics have a relapse rate of about 100%.
Some people feel better taking antibiotics continuously, rotating, pulsing, or whatever. That’s great as a holding pattern to gain some ground and buy time for designing a broader strategy. It’s like plugging in an extra spleen to your navel like a usb port until you can repair your own. I wish I had a graphic for that!
Think in terms of systems and all the parts you need to support.
