One way to keep toxins out is to take something to remove them: chelators, clay, charcoal, etc. This is a simple “take this for that” approach that can help but is only part of the solution because it does not rebuild the body by itself. This is technically part of the medical paradigm that deals with the things in isolation from the outside, which is not wrong, but the smaller part of a complete solution.
To deal with all root causes and rebuild the body to heal itself requires a more systemic approach. The Holistic Environment And Lifestyle (HEAL) paradigm calls for a systematic strategy of addressing all toxins and nutrients,
NUTRIENT DEFICIENCIES LEAVE HOLES
Nutritional deficiencies leave holes that toxins can occupy.
Iodine deficiency leaves a gap for other elements of the same type, halides, to occupy where iodine should be: chlorine and fluoride in our water, and bromides in bread and furniture fire retardant. Taking iodine displaces these toxic molecules and keeps them out. But this only works when cofactor nutrients needed to utilize iodine are present because it’s about the whole system, not simple take this for that.
Aluminum and silica occupy the same places. Silica is regarded as being able to displace and detoxify aluminum.
Selenium competes with mercury. Selenium can also bind with mercury to make it inert.
Arsenic and trisodium phosphate occupy the same receptor sites so phosphorous deficiency may make one more vulnerable to arsenic. I have not heard of anyone detoxifying arsenic with trisodium phosphate although this is supplement is available and cheap. It may not work like that in every case.
Lead occupies where calcium and iron should be, plus other minerals. In this case you would almost never take calcium and iron to displace lead because calcium and iron are not in the right places mostly due to a lack of cofactors to utilize them, rather than a scarcity in the diet. As a result, unbounded calcium and iron accumulate in the body with many health damaging effects. This is due to a chain reaction of deficiencies involving either sodium, or potassium, or both, magnesium, Vitamin A, and copper… and more.
Cadmium occupies where zinc should be. Zinc is important for building detoxification ability, but must be in balance with copper which is also often chronically dysregulated in many people.
And so forth.
The indirect chains of causation are no doubt more complex, like how deficiencies possibly lead to greater sensitivity to electronic pollution that affect us by making voltage gated calcium channels get too stimulated and allow calcium influx leading to a cascade of dysfunctions and free radical damage, among other problems. I have not seen this explored much.
REBUILDING DETOXIFICATION PATHWAYS
A major detoxification mechanism is the protein or amino acid glutathione that acts as an antioxidant.
Glutathione mainly removes mercury, arsenic and cadmium. It does not remove lead and some the other metals. Glutathione removes other toxins and has many functions.
Glutathione cannot be swallowed because it is ruined by digestion. From food, we make glutathione out of the amino acid cysteine and others. The best source of this is the whey protein of raw dairy, or minimually heated whey.
The problem is that so many people are allergic to dairy. The main reason for diary allergy is heating, pasteurization, that destroys enzymes necessary to digest sugars and proteins in milk. Heat also destroys cysteine by changing it to cystine, so you wouldn’t make glutathione anyway.
Allergies to even raw dairy are also caused by any number of nutritional especially mineral deficiencies or intolerances like to sulfur. People have sulfur intolerance due to mineral deficiency of molybdenum, which is not always remedied with taking the supplement form of molyB.
People who have done genetic tests have identified sulfur intolerance, CBS upregulation, and are sometimes hopeless, because they think genetics are fixed. It’s actually epigenetics that are shaped by environment and lifestyle. They do not understand how to use nutritional cofactors, immune boosters, etc., to solve the problem.
It is worth fixing a dairy allergy because raw dairy is one of the most healing foods not just for glutathione production but other immune factors and nourishing fats. In fact, milk is one of the few most complete foods since it is designed to grow a baby all by itself. Some frail people have live on raw milk alone. For thousands of years, raw milk diets have been used for healing, even by medical doctors in the USA 100 years ago.
Even though it is relatively complete, raw milk sometimes does not provide all the nutrients needed to assimilate it, like sodium and potassium, deficiencies of which are responsible for so many food allergies. It is best to get energetic testing to determine why you don’t tolerate raw milk. I will sometimes become intolerant if I don’t take extra salt, beyond salting heavily my food. Others must avoid salt and keep potassium high. Every case is individual. Intolerances and deficiencies usually occur in multiple chain reactions that need to be discovered.
This detoxification therapy is somwhat like using minerals to replace metals, but instead uses pure fats to replace toxic fats in cell membranes especially and also fat cells.
The medical way to do this is inject soy derivatives, basically lecithin. Lecithin powder can also be eaten, although the effect may not be as strong.
The food way is to get lecithin from raw egg yolks. Eggs are also one of the most complete foods, like milk, with many extra benefits. People notice detox effects from eggs that pull toxins out of the body. I don't recommend this for beginners. People often have violent detox reactions that they are certain is a food poisoning infection and everyone the ask will say they are certain this is it and they will be dead wrong. They never experimented with slightly rotten eggs to see what happens and that does not cause food poisoning, only an extra high from the bacteria, as with some other fermented products. But it is usually impossible to discuss this rationally becase most people only have an emotional reaction and have been conditioned into germophobia--especially Americans.
Phospholipid exchange therapy is also done with glutathione at the same time. So you could combine milk and eggs to do it yourself.
And guess what? A traditional tonic is a raw egg in a glass of raw milk, used from India, to Italy to a basketball coach in Oklahoma. It’s good to know science is catching up. This is why I study traditional cultures for health practices because much has been learned from survival for many more years than we have had science that is influenced by money.
It’s best include these foods in your lifestyle for gradual, continuous detoxification, not a sporadic, aggressive, medical IV infusion.
ASSESSING NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCIES
Dairy and egg intolerances present the challenge and opportunity of assessing all nutritional deficiencies to get a full picture of what you need. As I said, I use energetic testing dowsing with a pendulum. Energetic Testing
Energetic testing can find missing nutrients and the best sources of each that you can tolerate. Basic missing nutrients include micros: minerals and vitamins; macros: proteins, fats, carbs; probiotics; and physics of sunlight, etc.
Glutathione can show up under protein deficiency.
Phosopholipids can show up under fat deficiency.
Deficiencies in order of importance can explain what needs to be addressed first as the cofactor of a nutrient further down the list as a requirement to assimilate it.
A focus on nutritional deficiency is a root cause that addresses every cell in the body. This is better than focusing on particular body parts or organs, or particular symptoms patterns like inflammation and MTHFR genetics.
