Wheat, grains and pasteurized dairy
are very common allergens |
Digestive problems are often aggravated by food allergies and intolerances that you may or may not know you have.
What many people don’t realize is that food allergies and intolerances are usually caused by nutritional deficiencies and toxins. And then infections often after the first two causes.
The focus on nutritional deficiencies is better focus for health because it is causing all kinds of problems like fatigue and weaknesses that allow toxins to accumulate, infections to spread, and moods to dive.
Nutritional Deficiency
To assimilate one nutrient you need other nutrients that serve as cofactors for assimilation. Nutrients and the body work as a system, not isolated parts.
When you cannot absorb a nutrient it can act as an irritant that the body has to work to excrete
Thus you react like it is an allergen. If you can’t excrete it, it accumulates as a toxin, as in the case with iron, explained below.
The other problem with imbalances of nutrients are when you have too much of one relative to the other.
Like salt: if you are deficient in potassium salt can make you swell (edema), even the best salt.
Pure white salt is way worse because it has been cleaned of the trace amounts of other minerals that help its assimilation. Pure white salt is the one that creates high blood pressure. A light grey or pink salt would be better.
The right amounts of sodium and potassium are actually essential to assimilating all foods because they help nutrients get in the cell and waste out.
Chronically stressed people use and excrete more sodium and magnesium and experience noticeable results when they increase those from high quality sources.
In order to assimilate calcium you need magnesium. There is usually enough calcium in the diet but rarely enough magnesium. You should almost never take calcium supplements because unutilized calcium accumulates to toxic levels.
In order to assimilate iron you need copper, and copper needs magnesium and vitamin A. Without these cofactors you cannot utilize iron in the red blood cells so lab tests show anemia while there may be plentyof iron in the diet that accumulates in its unbound form to create inflammation and feed infection. Taking iron supplements without cofactor nutrients in the diet aggravates the problem.
Or you can be allergic to a food that you can’t digest because it does not have food enzymes that exist in raw food until they are destroyed by heat, as in the case of dairy.
Dairy Allergy
One of the most common allergies is to dairy. Eliminating dairy is one strategy. Addressing nutritional deficiency is another.
Sodium, potassium or magnesium deficiencies can make you allergic to dairy, in addition to other reasons.
I was highly allergic to pasteurized dairy but thrived and recovered from chronic fatigue on raw dairy.
Why?
Pastuerization is heating milk with the intention of killing harmful bacteria. But heat destroys enzymes in milk that help digest and assimilate.
The enzyme lactase helps digest lactose. Without lactase you can become lactose intolerant.
People are also reactive to casein proteins, especially from more recent breeds of cows that have the A1 caesin protein versus the healthier A2. Goats don’t have this problem. With raw dairy this is less of a problem. The reaction to A1 is also probably relative to nutrient deficiencies, and does not stand alone. I tolerate either, but A2 is best.
People can also be allergic to dairy because they are sulfur intolerant because they are deficient in the mineral molybdenum, molyb. But often they cannot tolerate a supplement of molyb because supplements don’t have cofactors for assimilation and are denatured in their processes through heat, chemicals, etc. Food sources are better.
When recovering from dairy allergies the safest thing to start with is ghee or butter.
Ghee has all the offending proteins and lactose boiled out of it but the enzymes are destroyed by heat, along with damaging some other nutrients through heating.
Raw butter has traces of protein and lactose but has all the enzymes. If you can tolerate this, then it is about twice as good as ghee.
Dairy fat has many valuable nutrients and fat to assimilate many fat soluble minerals and vitamins. Dairy fat is rich in vitamin A and cholesterol from which sex and adrenal steroidal hormones are made. Dairy fat is the best thing for your skin. The fats protect against toxins and help absorb toxins. I believe raw butter and milk are two of the most healing foods.
Raw dairy availability varies according to state law. You can research it.
Wheat and Grain Allergy
Many people feel better eliminating wheat or other grains.
One cause of wheat and grain allergies is the protein gluten that is highest in wheat but present in many other grains.
Another factor since around the year 2000 are non organic products with the herbicide glyphosate, also sold as Round Up and used in yards and school yards. This chemical destroys the gut lining and blood brain barrier, letting through undigested foods and toxins. A chain reaction of symptoms can follow like fatigue, brain fog, autism, etc.
Glyphosates also latch onto heavy metals like mercury and aluminum and take them to the brain.
An elimination strategy is often recommended even including organic grains because grains have less nutrient than other foods like fruit and vegetables.
Replacing starchy carbohydrates with fats or fruits also works for many people.
Minerals and vitamins are not carbohydrate soluble, but fat soluble, there is more synergy with fat.
Testing for Nutritional Deficiency
Nutritional deficiencies are a root cause of chronic health problems and a key to addressing other root cause like toxicity, infection and stress.
Nutrition includes: protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, probiotics, the right kind of water, sun, and earth’s magnetic fields.
Sun may be the most important nutrient. It’s not just for hormone D but light photons covert to electrons for energy in the body by charging water like a battery. All the sun’s rays are therapeutically valuable from UV to infrared
Nutritional deficiencies are highly individual. What you need to know is in what order of priority to address and then address them all.
Order of priority means that the first deficiency can be necessary to address the others. For example, potassium or sodium deficiency can leave you “allergic to everything” because so many other foods depend on the cofactor, or, more precisely, cell membranes depend on these minerals for assimilation.
You need to address all because a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. It’s a system.
Lab tests can give you a general picture of deficiencies but not prescribe.
Energetic testing can do both: muscle testing or dowsing with a pendulum, for example, can answer many questions but you have to ask the right questions and have a long enough list of quality solutions so that you can find a solution right for you. You must know:
Allergy Elimination Techniques
You can see why other methods like NEAT or similar enregetic methods attempt to surpress the symptoms known as an allergy or intolerance, not address root causes. Those methods did not work for me. Addressing nutritional deficiencies did. Some of their own explanations are that toxins make the body allergic. They mentioned that in passing and did not provide a way to address that root cause. They did not even know the theory of cofactors in nutrition. This was in my bad old days of chronic fatigue riding on the practitioner merry-go-round of almost universal incompetence of people who could not define root causes and were just promoting their specialized techniques.
Conclusion
We do not know everything about the body, but we do know what basic nutrients are needed, not everything about how they work. By giving the body everything it needs it can energize and heal itself. This is a focus on all cells: from mitochondria to membranes. This is much better than the reductionist approach of focusing on paritcular organs, especially adrenals. Boosting general energy production is necessary to address other root causes like toxicity, infection, and anxiety and depression.
