We Can’t Just Kill Candida:
It’s a Nutritional Deficiency Problem
Candida fungal “infection” or overgrowth is well known as a healthy yeast that helps with gut health that has mutated into something harmful.
Research that pops up quickly when searching shows various forms of toxicity, basically, lead to his condition, medications, etc.
Toxins drain nutrients because more nutrients are needed to detoxify
Antibiotics kill good bacteria that I count as nutrients that are needed to work with good yeast in balance to digest and produce nutrients like vitamins B, K, beta carotene, and neurostransmitters. and keep candida in check.
Antibiotics can be hard the liver, which then falls behind in detoxification and digesting nutrients to be utilized for energy, detoxification and immune building .
And yet everyone seems to treat candida as an invasive external infection by trying to kill it.
But it can regenerates immediately from the same causes of an unhealthy terrain of the body.
It’s a cycle of kill, die-off, feeling worse, and it comes back.
So you can be worse off for even trying.
There can be a role for things that kill candida/fungal overgrowth, or parasite it hides in, but these do not work alone.
This is a paradigm problem that you must stop and understand immediately and not skim over this point looking for take-aways that are answers to your wrong questions that mislead you to make the wrong decisions that keep you sick.
There are no take-sways here that turn into a shopping list.
No “take this for that.”
No “just fix my X, how long will it take?”
These are failure modes caused by the old paradigm of allopathic medical thinking, simple reductionist symptom manipulating for people who want to act without thinking much.
Truly holistic or systems thinking to use engineering terms looks at how all the inputs are processed leading to the outcome of health.
That means start with basic nutritional deficiencies “for” every symptom, cell, organ and function.
The first thing people thinking with the old paradigm do to distort what I just said:
“What nutrients are “for” candida to kill it or prevent mutations?
This is still “take this for that” in a new form.
The real answer is:
Whatever individual nutritional deficiencies you have will lead to all the problems you have.
Each basic mineral, vitamin, fat, protein etc. has so many functions that these few root causes can produce any number of symptoms.
Don’t wait for the science or expect lab tests to know everything that is not known or measurable.
We all must:
Learn to interpret symptoms.
Experiment with what works by evaluating results:
All these results indicate that nutritional deficiencies are being addressed will also help improve candida overgrowth.
There is no immediate solution so you just have to twist in the wind with the uncertainty until you can improve insight slowly:
Basic nutrients are for every cell, organ, function and symptom.
Included in every cell are cells of the immune system:
White blood cells clean-up pathogens (candida), toxins, cancer, waste and fat cells.
I always start with electrolytes “for” everything because other nutrients depend on these and these alone can produce immediate results.
These depend on each other for utilization.
There is often a priority of utilization with the most deficient nutrients having to be taken first through food or supplement, before you can tolerate the next.
If you react to magnesium, you have to take potassium or sodium first, for example.
You also have to be taking a form or food source that works for you.
After electrolytes there are numerous options most likely to lead to progress, minerals and vitamins are necessary to make any diet work.
I prefer food before supplements although both are needed.
A thorough nutrition plan is all that is needed to detoxify and works better than supplements anyway.
Nutrition addresses more problems especially energy levels.

Learn to interpret symptoms.
Experiment with what works by evaluating results:
- energy levels in general,
- what feels good in some way
- helps us sleep, digest
- minimizes pain and inflammation
All these results indicate that nutritional deficiencies are being addressed will also help improve candida overgrowth.
There is no immediate solution so you just have to twist in the wind with the uncertainty until you can improve insight slowly:
- Intuition about what to eat
- Sensitivity to feedback about what to continue, how much to eat/ take
- Reading to understand how things connect
- Find someone to help at first until you can do it yourself.
