Whole Movement
Whole Movement is how every part of your body works to together to align your body for efficient movement.
The central nexus of alignment are the hips.
The hips stack the spine so that you go straight up with natural curves with less effort, not muscles trying to pull something into place.
The angle of the feet is the first thing that aligns hips: it usually makes them go back more to make your butt stick out, not extremly.
The angle of the hands when you walk affects shoulders going back and chest forward.
A sunken chest also puts pressure on the hips to move forward again.
Cranial alignment shapes head and neck posture.
A most important factor is wide palate for a larger airway.
When those are too small it can require a forward head posture to keep the airway open.
That puts preassure on the chest to sink back and the hips to move foward.
I explain more about the cranium under Whole Circulation.
There are many ways to align.
Walking properly with eveything in place as above.
Streteching the spine, neck and hips can help.
Strenghtening key muscle groups like the posterior chain: gluts, adductors, hamstrings.
Learning how to bend over to strenghten hips, not bending the knees.
There are DIY techinques that you can do without going to the gym.
Sometimes the sacrum needs adjustment especially for sciatic or back pain.
I can show you how to DIY but not in comments.
There are ways to stimulate circulation for healing when you are in too much pain to move or to tired to exercise.
Walking aligned is a marvelous experience.
It's easy, powerful, fluid, hips are moving sexy, you got more bounce--especically in the right shoes.
You get better circulation to your brain to think better.
Then you hear a song in your head:
"Boom chic boom, boom chic boom,
big muscles big, big muscles big....."
and the names of many body parts.
LOL
