Functional Disruptions
A function of sleep is to repair and detoxify, which requires nutrients.
Any nutrient deficiencies could disrupt sleep by waking you up to urge you to eat more nutrients to fulfill the purpose of sleep, that is pointless to continue when you cannot fulfill it’s function.
This feels like being in deep sleep and then waking up for no reason.
The sleep mechanism might work, but the purpose is not being achieved.
You are generally hungry.
