Why Circulation is a Meta Root Symptom
When parts of your nervous system below the head are cut off from functioning your brain can perceive a threat and become highly active searching for the problem. It can send out pain signals to call attention to that area, or it could seem numb and unnoticed until you poke it. I think of this as like neuropathy or a subtler pre-neuropathy.
Nervous systems parts get cut off due to circulation problem in the lymph. blood. and cerebrospinal fluid.
Circulation problems can be due to:
• lack of movement to assist the lymph
• low energy needed to pull blood circulation
• accumulation of metabolic waste
• dead cells and scar tissue
• tension from emotional stress restricting circulation to muscles that don’t get up to move from stress that would help circulation, but just armor the area..
• misalignment of muscles through chairs and shoes leading to general under-activation especially of the posterior chain—skinny butt syndrome.
Most people don’t know why massage feels so relaxing.
One reason massage and exercise feel good is that circulation has been restored to an area so the brain can connect with the nervous system and feel that it has the capabilities to function normally and respond to stresses, like fight or flee. So it does not have to vigilantly search for the reason it has low stress response capability in order to fix the problem.
For the nervous system to be healthy all the parts need to be receiving oxygen, nutrient, etc. In order to receive those, circulation must be good: the blood delivers nutrients while the lymph takes away metabolic waste and toxicity to make room for nutrients. Nutrients for healing are also likely deficient, as well as ability to digest, which has also probably lead to multiple organ weaknesses.
Tension that restricts circulation can be created by the brains’ perception or create the brain’s perception of stress.
Most pain research is about mind over matter to stop a possible over-reaction and devote more resources to healing by resting.
It is known that Xrays of injuries and pain levels do not correlate.
But it might not be just the brain responses.
The pain might also be a useful response to healing capabilities like circulation of blood and lymph to the area.
The brain is not always overreacting like as the part that is addressed ANS regulation therapies.
It is better to address the physical problem by addressing circulation and nutrient deficiencies to heal the injury, toxic accumulation, etc.
Matter over mind is more automatic than the reverse.
Once you get results feeling better you become more confident that you can master yourself and respond to any stress without having to brace against the possibility because your body knows it is ready.
Lymph is often the weakest link in circulation because it requires physical movement of muscles to pump the fluid, whereas the blood has an automatic pump of the heart and even more so is pulled by electrical charge in the capillaries. So once energy levels decline you move less and have less electrical charge.
I have known for years how to release tension throughout my whole body and move better and only later understood why.
Practice was ahead of theory so I could not explain it to people and hardly anyone believed my results until they did what I did. It is complex and can’t be explain here.
A good example of limited thinking are strategies to relax the vegas nerve as a leverage point on the whole system. They think the problem is the nerve rather than the problem it is perceiving. I have never experienced anything as completely relaxing as hip release and adjustment especially concerning the psoas and sacrum. That is where the much of the problem is due to misalignment of chairs, shoes, and resulting walking and moving improperly that restricts balanced use of muscles that activates each muscle to pump the lymph and capillaries. Also lack of variety of movement and full range of movement like the primal squat or even just sitting the floor and getting up and down off the floor that are hard to do with chronic tension and weakness.
So when circulation declines, nerve nourishment can decline leading the brain to perceive it has lost something and then it goes searching for its lost children.
Any physical weakness can be perceived as a threat because the brain knows the body is weak and not stress response capable. Nutrient deficiencies can raise anxiety like that. It is important to understanding the functions of system, not just take B vitamins for stress according to allopathic medicine logic masquerading as holistic wisdom. B vitamins are source of energy for 100s of functions: it’s about total energy from inputs to distribution through circulation delivered into space cleared through elimination by the lymph, liver, bowels, etc.
Once one begins to relax they begin to rest and digest for a virtuous circle to heal.
One reason for insomnia is a lack of nutrients and distribution to do the work so when the functions of sleep cannot be performed you wake up to solve the problem, you may be hungry, you might need to eliminate or be constipated, or need to move your lymph, and not perceive you need to clear those.
Most people think of insomnia in terms of the mechanism of sleep being broken and seek pill solutions: melatonin, GABA, etc which are sometimes a match between problem and solution, but often the problem is bigger. Just like the vegas nerve solution, it is too direct and missing the context of the system and its functions.
