The Tongue Shapes the Whole Body and Health
The tongue by sucking and swallowing
shapes the palate and teeth,
that shapes the cranium that shapes posture,
that affects the brain and breathing
and thus all of health.

and thus all of health.
The single most important determinant of posture and even health can be the width of the upper dental palate because it affects the size of the airway. A narrow airway requires a forward head position to breathe, which then forces unhealthy curves down the spine to a sunken chest and forward hips.
An underdeveloped palate can cause sleep apnea and stress the nervous system to contribute to any health problem by inhibiting rest, digestion, immunity, etc.
Expanding the palate with orthodontics can be done even in adults. New tongue and swallowing patterns are needed, too, the kind that should have been learned through breast feeding for healthy development.
The other big problem is short molars leading to over bite or under bite. This can create TMJ pain, a curved spine, scoliosis, kyphosis, digestive problems, and many other symptoms.
You can expand your cranium temporarily to open the breath and balance the nervous system using your fingers and tongue. This is included in the Move to Circulate, Align, and Relax system. Orthodontic appliances can expand the palate, facial bones and cranium permanently even in adults.
