COPPER
Energizes Everything , Detoxifies, Kills Infections
Basic nutrients like minerals can serve 3 urgent purposes:
And far more efficient as they can be part of the diet with fewer supplements that do more.
Copper is a good example of something that does all three
Copper as Nutrient
Copper as a basic nutrient is essential and is necessary to help with:
Copper Detoxifies
Copper helps with detoxification as part of major enzymes :
Metallothionein, along with zinc and selenium, to detoxify metals.
Glutathione, considered the major antioxidant.
SOD, super oxide dismutase.
Notice I am not matching cpper with specific toxins: I don’t think like that.
This is not A to B, this for that.
The full spectrum of basic nutrients can build all detox pathways for all classes of toxins.
There are thousands of man-made chemicals that we can have in our bodies that we will never identify and have never been studied. We are never going to discover it all with lab tests.
Fortify the body to heal itself.
Copper Kills Pathogens
Copper also can kill infections of all kinds. Copper sulfate is cheap and is widely used in agriculture to control fungus deworm goats, and more. It can even kill root tips in home sewer pipes.
One way copper works when directed through the body's mechanism may be to direct oxidation, not simply taking the oxidative form:: stealing electrons from cell membranes, and getting inside to destroy DNA and RNA which is most crucial in preventing adaptation of pathogens to end the years of “I’ve tried everything” hamster wheel. However, I did learn of a brain eating amoeba that has some resistance to copper, so hitting infections from multiple angles is a still a good idea while still striving for simplicity.
Copper works better than silver as a material on hospital surfaces and fixtures like handles because silver has to be wet to work, according to one source. Copper continues to work to oxidize pathogens even after it is oxidized itself and turns green.
It is surprising that people focus on things like silver for infections when it has no nutritional value and not does it help detoxify. In fact, it may accumulate toxically. I know people have their success stories, but compared to what? Better is not always best. I never got much out of it.
The fragmented, reductionist mindset can be seen in how people criticize copper and ascorbic acid. There is a belief that you should not take ascorbic acid because it lowers copper—even if that’s a partial truth, that’s highly simplistic as they are both good nutrients and likely not in an absolute trade-off.
The antioxidant ascorbic acid can be taken at different times so it does not neutralized the oxidizing benefits of copper.
Others say ascorbic acid helps utilize copper.
Often balance is the key: with complementary nutrients too much can be an antagonist, too little can lead to underutilization
In either case, when taking copper, ascorbic acid can help control symptoms from oxidizing copper when dosing in high amounts, which could be anything, any weak link that is aggravated by oxidation: inflammation, headaches, etc.
Addressing Root Causes in Nutritional Deficiencies Balances Simple with Systematic.
Copper is just one example of a nutrition based strategy, with minerals in particular being super valuable. Here are some keys parts of the foundation for addressing any health problem since these nutrients are necessary for your whole system in ways that are not even fully understood.
This is better than relying too much on binders to detoxify but do not energize: Even the most perfect binders like OSR, etc., make people tired. Not saying you shouldn’t take it, but also need more nutrients.
STOP matching “this for that” symptoms.
Basic nutrients produce a wider spectrum of results.
I strive for the balance between being systematic yet simple.
Addressing one root cause like a nutrient deficiency usually addresses multiple symptoms all at once, including things you did not think were related.
When the body has all the nutrients it needs it can heal itself.
Iodine another super mineral for nutrition, detox and killing infections.
Selenium is a super detoxifier
Zinc is important to detoxify and for immunity.
Boron is known to kill fungal overgrowth and mold and is part of bone building
Silica detoxifies aluminum and heals wounds and skin, etc.
Sulfur is essential for detoxification, energy, and pains of all kinds
Magnesium has so many roles it is a prerequisite to make anything work
And more.
These nutrients are all absolutely essential and part of the best ways to detoxify and even kill infections.
This does not mean that the best way to get this is through supplements. Often food will do.
If you are reading this on social media, am NOT going to give personal advice and recommendations for products or foods because:
- Energizing cells and enzymes to perform all kinds of functions, including building your own immunity
- Detoxification
- Killing infections
And far more efficient as they can be part of the diet with fewer supplements that do more.

- Everyone has different needs that require assessment.
- Some people are sensitive and react to nearly everything.
- One thing at a time does not have enough impact, a complete solution is necessary for complex problems as all the nutrients work together.
