Toxicity Drives Nutrient Deficiencies
and how to interpret reactions
Toxicity in your body is probably worse than you think.
Many nutrients are needed to detoxify.
Detoxification is mostly built into the whole of nutrition: food, supplements, and sun, not just a separate thing done with binders and cleanses.
Nutrient deficiencies are worse than you think.
Parasitic infections are the toxin that fights back and grows as your immunity is weak from deficiencies.
A life time of toxic load does not go away as soon as you improve your diet somewhat.
Detox needs to be ongoing with constant exposures.
The ideal diet is must be more customized, not just conforming to all the clichés about grass fed, bone broth, organic, etc.
Whole foods are the foundation of nutrition with a great variety of nutrients that work together as cofactors.
Supplements are also necessary when people have chronic conditions.
Minerals, B vitamins, and forms of C have to be dealt with individually and in high amounts to make for years of deficits and in levels way over the RDA needed to detoxify.
You can’t just take multi B vitamin or multi mineral supplements .
Some B vitamins are toxic to many people in those doses, like B6.
Some forms of B vitamins are ineffective.
Amounts of some must be much higher.
Thiamine or B1 deficiency is one of the early diagnoses of chronic fatigue called beri beri in Japanese that means “can’t do it.”
(don’t ask for specific recommendations here)
Nutrients have to be balanced because they work together as cofactors.
Increasing one nutrient creates deficiencies of other nutrients that are burning at a higher level with your increased energy and activity.
You get better for a few days then plateau, slide back or crash.
I call the process of balancing nutrients “leveling-up” all the weak links.
Reactions can also be detox or simply feeling tired because your body finally as the nutrients to rest and repair. In any case, the solution is always more nutrients to ease detox and increase energy to get through it faster.
All these reactions can be called “paradoxical” because you need these nutrients but they don’t always make you feel better consistently in the beginning.
Much insomnia is actually “functional insomnia:” the body does not have the necessary nutrients to perform the functions of sleep or repair or detox.
So your body wakes you up and hopes you figure out what to eat or how to eliminate what is clogging things up.
You may need to relieve constipation or move to stimulate the lymph system to clear extracellular fluid to make way to deliver nutrients.
This may be the case if you don’t respond to any remedies to fix the mechanisms of sleep like melatonin or getting sun throughout the day staring in early morning while blocking blue light and artificial lights at night.
