Why does Progress Stop?
Chasing Your New Weakest Link
Progress can stop because you increased energy expenditure with one nutrient and that required more of other nutrients that you did not increase to match the higher level.
Then you have to figure out the new nutritional deficiencies that result from your success.
This is a systems concept about equilibrium of all the parts working together dynamically.
A non-systems way of thinking might conclude that if you first felt improvement from magnesium but then progress declined, then magnesium was not really the problem.
From a systems perspective there are at least 3 possibilities from the point of view of equilibrium:
These are problems of success.
To make something work in the first place, 3 criteria must be met.
A lack of any of these 3 is a failure mode.
QUALITY
Lack of quality of the input: food, supplement, light. Quality is a huge issue as most supplements are not worth it. I test energetically and I can feel in my hand, or by looking at a picture, whether something will strengthen me.
Energetic Testing
QUANTITY
Wrong quantity can easily be a problem because people think that “taking some” puts a check on their list as “done.” They are just guessing.
As for quantities, for example, someone may have magnesium daily requirements that require a variety of sources: 60% internally, 30% topically, and 20% from diet. The sources should add-up to over 100%. In this case, the person needs to nearly max out on each to ensure they hit 100% of their needs.
COMPLETENESS with ORDER of Implementation
Lack of cofactors nutrient for assimilation. For example, magnesium also requires potassium and sodium to be utilized. All three of these electrolytes are needed to absorb just about everything else.
To monitor weak links certain foods can be used as indictors of nutritional deficiencies. The potentially highly allergenic RAW milk can be allergenic in the presence of nutritional deficiencies: like magnesium, potassium and sodium. For many people magnesium deficiency is likely to cause reactions to raw dairy. For many it is potassium deficiency. For others like me it is sodium deficiency along with magnesium. In engineering terms, I have used tolerance to raw milk as a quality control metric.
I don’t go into details about what brands and forms of magnesium or other things I take because that will not solve the problem of what you do next when success creates new problems as the result of solving one nutritional deficiency but not the other deficiencies that already exist or that will be created when you speed up your system.
A complete solution for health problems should begin with an understanding that
Nutrition (chemistry and physics of light, etc.) is a root cause of all symptoms.
All nutrients together address all symptoms
This is not matching different nutrients with different symptoms. “What do I take for my X?”
Many people cannot understand anything but that and cannot take the leap into knowing that the deeper level of root cause focus will sort things out. Therefore, they do not implement a nutritional plan that addresses every cell in their body in every way—that is too vague, they cannot conceptualize.
Nutrition includes a diet right for you, customized in detail by food groups, macro ratios, even testing each food for sensitivities and nutritional value.
Then the most important thing is a list of nutritional deficiencies in order of importance, numbered, because the first one may be a prerequisite for absorbing the second one, and so on. These are the weak links in order of importance to implement. When people get into trouble they go to the top of the list to review whether they are implementing correctly or need to adjust the plan.
I use energetic testing to accomplish this, which I have explained elsewhere anyone can find.
This is the only way to find out what you need, how much, and highest quality solutions for you.

From a systems perspective there are at least 3 possibilities from the point of view of equilibrium:
- You may need to increase some other nutrients to keep up with the higher energy expenditure enabled by magnesium. This is the new weakest link.
- Maybe you already increased some other nutrient and now magnesium needs to catch up.
- Or, you need to increase magnesium itself possibly because your body has taken on more difficult extra tasks like detoxification, and needs more and more for awhile just to keep up with basic energy while detoxifying. Detox is a reason we need extra supplementation beyond natural dietary levels because we are fighting unnatural levels of toxins from many sources that are only underestimated.
These are problems of success.
