Sulfur, Cholesterol, D Sulfate, Structured Water
Sulfur and cholesterol have many healthy roles in the body to benefit:: energy, detoxification, immunity, skin, and pain,
The “digestion” of both occur on the skin while making vitamin D sulfate, the healthier water soluble version of vitamin D you can’t get from pills of D that are fat soluble.
Cholesterol from animal fat is actually an antioxidant that protects the skin by donating an electron to protect against UV sun ray damage from oxidation.
But UV sun is also necessary to create vitamin D sulfate.
When cholesterol gives up an electron it reacts with sulfur to form vitamin D sulfate.
D sulfate is a water soluble vitamin which means it can be transported through the watery aspect of blood, in contrast to fat soluble D3 that need to move through LDL cholesterol.
The only food source of D sulfate is mammal’s milk that must be raw because the heat of pasteurization or cooking destroys it.
Vitamin D3 sulfate is a cholesterol based vitamin, also considered a hormone, and it may help to explain that by comparing it to other cholesterol based hormones: adrenal hormones and reproductive hormones.
The real story may actually be what sulfur is doing, which is more than what vitamin D does, according to MIT researcher Stephanie Senoff, author of many easy to find articles on sulfur. Sulfur may be the big immune booster, and higher vitamin D levels are a by- product of the processing of sulfur in D sulfate and cholesterol sulfate.
Sulfur is crucial to the structuring of proteins in the extracelluar matrix and the structuring of water in the body which is what holds the electrical charge which is a large part of what energy is.
Structuring of water into fourth face, a gel like substance is the Exclusion Zone theory of water: water separated into negative and positive charges.
The strongest source of this charge is sunlight involving a process of photons of light converting to electrons in the water of the body. This is a very complex theory and I’m not going to get into that here.
Suffice it to say, that to tolerate the UV spectrum of sunlight without burning we need cholesterol and sulfur.
In general, I find sulfate versions of nutrients more effective or cost effective: like copper and zinc.
Magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt) is unique for some purposes but not necessarily to be used exclusively.
This post is more about sulfur and cholesterol than it is about vitamin D, although I included that as something familiar that gets people’s attention that is usually not fully understood.
Some of the best sources of sulfur and cholesterol are raw dairy and eggs, which are often highly allergenic foods for some people, I overcame dairy allergy and can help you, too, but it's usually an individualized process so requires hours of evaluation, planning and follow-up health coaching. It starts with a free assessment, see below.
