Finding Your Ideal Diet by Eliminating Foods
vs
Fixing the Gut to Tolerate Healthy Foods
A common way people create an individualized diet is through bad reactions to certain foods for an elimination strategy to discover their ideal diet.
But they do not know why they react and think it is the food itself.
If the foods are generally healthy and organic, they usually react because of difficulties digesting and assimilating due to:
These create intolerance patterns like histamines, oxalates, fodmaps, etc.
Food elimination diets are necessary until the underlying problem is corrected, but these are rarely addressed.
For example, a gluten or wheat intolerance can occur due to deficiencies of the good yeast saccharomyces boulardii and good bacteria bacillus coagulans or bacillus subtilus.
A lack of these can also lead to other digestive weaknesses one does not notice and accompany a wider problem like pathogenic candida, so it is worth correcting the causes of wheat or gluten intolerance even if one does not want to eat gluten grains ever again.
People who have trouble digesting meat or fat even more so have to address the digestive weaknesses since these foods are needed in substantial amounts by most people.
Elimination diets can be deceptive because they can offer short term relief by relieving the symptom but may be bad in the long run.
IDEAL DIET THEORIES
Ideal diets should be customized based on correcting underlying digestive and gut issues and experimenting with foods.
Extremes like veganism or fruitarianism works for a small minority and there are plenty of stories online of people to testify for these mistakes.
The other end of the spectrum is carnivore, which may work for more than veganism does, but still may be elimination diet with underlying weaknesses.
Keto theory is not as solid as they think, I believe.
Even more than protein deficiencies I think people may have a fat deficiency of animal fats.
This is why I often recommend raw dairy and raw eggs for animal fats with cholesterol and vitamin A that are not found in “good fats” like avocado and olive oil.
These foods have glutathione precursor amino acids for essential detoxification.
Raw dairy and eggs are the most complete foods to help address many potential deficiencies.
The raw version of each reduces some of the allergic potential, but many people need to heal their guts first to tolerate these foods.
It’s ironic that some of the healthiest foods can be the most allergenic for a variety of reasons and shows how the reactive elimination strategy can be deceiving.
Raw dairy and eggs are usually acceptable to vegetarians and can address their fat deficiencies and also potential protein deficiencies.
Milk and eggs can be mixed with fruit for a meal type that has many tasty combinations and prepared in a fast food manner. It’s also portable in containers.
Signs of fat deficiency include dry skin low hormones and libido.
Sex and stress hormones are made from cholesterol.
Many more symptoms can be related to fat deficiency since it a basic nutrient and cofactor for fat soluble minerals and vitamins.
But they do not know why they react and think it is the food itself.
If the foods are generally healthy and organic, they usually react because of difficulties digesting and assimilating due to:
- Lack of probiotic bacteria and yeast to digest food
- Lack of stomach acid
- Lack of bile to begin to digest fat
- Lack of digestive enzymes from the pancreas to digest protein, crabs, fat.
- Nutritional deficiencies that are cofactors in assimilation, starting with magnesium, potassium and sodium, and more.
- Immune problems
These create intolerance patterns like histamines, oxalates, fodmaps, etc.
