Cell Membranes in Electro Sensitivity & Senescent Cells
Cell membranes are crucial to what nutrients can get into cells and what gets out: waste/toxicity and nutrients produced in cells.
Cell membrane related topics are:
Electromagnetic radiation sensitivity
Too much calcium entering cells are the result of voltage gated calcium channels malfunctioning due to nutrient deficiencies.
Senescent cells
Sleeper or underactive cells are not performing roles and are not dying off like they should so they can be renewed. Some of these could turn into cancer if they start multiplying on their own.
Senescent cells nutrients recommended are usually not related to cell membranes but I think this angle should be considered.
There is more to this than autophagy through fasting, which does not work well with people with nutrient deficiencies. Nutrients already in the body are still needed during fasting to perform all processes.
Detoxification
The method of phosopholipid exchange is known as an IV treatment in clinics.
This most often consist of phosphotidyl choline (PC) to renew membranes and glutathione with maybe folate and B12 to help handle the resulting detoxification.
This is fascinating and promising. I agree that these are all key nutrients but there are huge problems with how each of these are sourced due to all kinds of individual intolerances
Oral strategies through supplementation are not widely discussed but there are plenty of supplements for sale that emphasize different phosopholipids as the key to making it work best.
My approach is to get all possible cell membrane and detox nutrients through foods, and then see what remains to be supplemented, if anything.
Some phosopholipids and other cell membrane nutrients:
Phosphatidyl Choline (PC)
Phosphatidyl Ethanolamine
Phosphatidyl Inositol
Glycerolphosphory Choline Alpha GPC
Phosphatidyl Serine
Vitamin E
Cholesterol
DHA, EPA
Choline has many benefits, including to help form bile and acetyl choline.
Choline is also a methylator and precursor to the methylator TMG.
Inositol is a cofactor for choline
P Serine has an amino acid that is that is especially important for membranes of the brain.
P Serine is taken “for” cortisol control. People often assume that it can only be for that, as “take this for that” implies everything is separate. People also assume that cortisol must be an emotional stress. Stress hormones can also be a product of a toxic body feeling a threat from within, with knowledge that you don’t have the nutrients to detoxify. The flight or flight response can also to get up and do something: find the solution. Functional insomnia is like that: you don’t have the nutrients to perform sleep functions so you may as well get up and find a solution.
The main phospholipid by amount is PC which leads some people to just casually dismiss the rest. This ignores possible cofactor roles of other nutrients in increasing the utilization of PC or addressing other smaller weak links that the whole system, nevertheless, depends on.
I take as a premise that nature designed things best whether we understand it or not.
I don’t think anything is gained by isolating nutrients just to measure better, and then assume if it is not in the label it does not exist. This pseudo scientific procedure just gives a feeling of control so you can “know everything” you are getting.
If fact, much is often lost in isolating nutrients through solvents, heat, hydrolosis, etc.,
Perhaps the most complete source of the above is probably egg yolks, which can be hard to tolerate in high amounts to get enough. Eggs are also very expensive if it takes 12 eggs or just yolks to get enough. Reasons for reactions are not always known even when people use all kinds of labels. It’s not just allergies or histamines. There can be cofactor deficiencies. It could be working so well you can’t handle the detox.
Lecithin is a food source of multiple phospholipids.
Sunflower is preferred over soy.
Most product quality is generally low in my experience
Cell membrane detox is not always the top priority, other nutrient deficiencies should be solved first like B1, other b vitamins, flavonoids, and glutathione as some of these are included in IV treatments, but it’s best to be prepared ahead of time instead of trying to sort out reactions all at once.
I don’t think people should start here as major detox is intolerable without all nutrient deficiencies being addressed for energy and detoxification pathway strength, including antioxidant neutralization of toxins.
I suspect oral phospholipid exchange is not popular also due to product quality problems concerning isolates, soy sources, and processing of most sunflower source lecithin.
Electro sensitivity is a big problem with remarkable little in depth information on nutrient deficiencies of membranes and voltage gates. Choline is one nutrient that is said to help some people, but most of the discussion is random taking this for that.
I don’t give general and incomplete recommendations: individuals must identify all their nutritional deficiencies for a complete solution.
I don’t want to hear anybody complain about their food intolerances without useful information.
Eat to energize, detoxify & immunize.
