FOCUS
Shattered and Scattered
Stop Shopping: Implement
People who don’t get better have one over-riding problem:
They can’t FOCUS on the right things.
They can't stop shopping to read and implement a health plan.
Successful health improvement depends on improving focus in 8 ways to make good health decisions.
Signs of lack of focus are:
1. Don’t take time to READ until it is understood, or read at all.
This problem is so huge and common I don’t even know what to say.
2. Don’t RESONATE with the solutions intuitively.
Like being attracted to the wrong person in relationships
Gut feelings in your existing state can be wrong
Thinking that you have deep insight by saying “the energy isn’t right” can be a rationalization and spiritual bypass to deny you don’t know.
3. Don’t RECEIVE solutions as something that could work. Negativity, that won’t work for me, nothing works, it’s hopeless, always a victim, expecting and repeating the past pattern of failure
4. RESISTANCE: a reactive, fear-based nervous system that emphasizes the risk “just in case” but cannot do a proper cost benefit analysis and anticipates the worst. Often people’s equilibrium is so delicate they cannot afford to experiment and take the chance of feeling worse because there is little resilience.
Fear based brains are known as deep stress from autonomic nervous system dysregulation, one of the major symptom patterns in chronic fatigue and chronic illness, the failure to rest and digest, often with insomnia.
5. Don’t IMPLEMENT in detail to nail it. scattered by compulsive shopping for something new and exciting,
half-assing, “good enough,” short cuts, “doing it my way,” selectively shopping the protocol like a buffet menu, resulting in failure and confirming fears.
6. Don’t REVISE assumptions: Arrogance and laziness: thinking you know when you don’t so closed to discovery
You don’t know what all the pieces of the puzzle are until you are completely healed.
Staying stuck on a narrow diagnosis like adrenal fatigue or an infection like lyme or candida.
7. Don’t REFLECT more deeply to become aware of the deeper emotional codes and beliefs about health that run your brain and lead you astray into unhealthy decisions. How you think and make decisions is the meta problem beneath all details—you need a new paradigm that is clearly distinguished from the old paradigm, not an add-on leading to contradictions. Shift from shopping transaction to paradigm transformation.
8. REACTION vs. Regulation. The timing of reactions are too fast to create space for the above to occur. Self regulation is a way to control reactions and choose consciously in a more relaxed and clear-headed manner.
SHATTERED AND SCATTERED
One reason for this is that some people who have been emotionally abused or neglected, even in subtle ways, are often shattered and scattered. They did not grow up learning to be oriented to their own needs, self-care and self-soothing but had to manage others defensively and codependently to the point of not knowing their own bodies and who they are.
We had to react defensively and did not have space or time to pause to feel ourselves and our needs to self regulate. Our nervous systems had to urge us to fight or run away on the one hand, or freeze to play dead instead of attempting to define boundaries that would only be punished and make our stress worse if not threaten our lives. Narcissists don’t allow boundaries because it threatens their control and always being right. They are baby adults having temper tantrums when they don’t get their way. You are not who they want you to be because you have chronic health problems and they attack and blame you for that, when actually they are the cause. They are not good role models and you are going to have to be very aware to learn a healthy way to live. They are not good role models so people to whom this applies are going to have to be very aware to learn a healthy way to live.
This is a way to explain the root causes self-sabotage, flaking, and lack of focus.
You need to heal shattered and scattered emotionally to able to regulate to reflect, revise, resonate with and receive health solutions.
Then focus to implement in great detail to nail it without slipping back into negativity, fear, distraction, and dissociation.
FOCUS through Emotional Transformation
Emotional transformation requires two kinds of methods
Cognitive Awareness To Regulate Your Nervous System
People with chronic illnesses like chronic fatigue may be familiar with Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) dysregulation or being stuck in stress mode because you don’t feel safe in the world. Causes can be both emotional and physical. This is the physiological basis of a fear based view of the world that makes you prioritize possible threats that ends up making you think and resonate negatively.
Therapies to address ANS are generally cognitive behavioral and focus on awareness to regulate stress responses and pacing the activities of your day.
Awareness through presence is pausing the mind to feel the body and it’s needs, for focus and intuition. Slow down to relax and choose reactions.
Notice responses to Stress: fight, flight, freeze, or fake.
Activity level regulation: Do you rest enough?
The biggest obstacle to self regulation is resistance to the pause to sense and decide because that’s when you may experience the bad feelings you have been avoiding: overwhelm, fear, dread, anxiety, anger, hopeless, worthless, etc. Stay with it and let it pass until you can focus on making a decision to just rest or try to find a solution. When you pause and do nothing sometimes intuition aims you toward solutions directly or use of an analytic method or line of research to pursue.
Through cognitive behavioral self regulation, little by little you get stronger and believe you can heal and that creates more positive beliefs and feelings so your body can rest and get stronger and you can make better decisions. You have more energy to thinking and read. It’s hard to make good decisions when you are tired. You begin to shift from fear to self-mastery to feel secure in the world.
With this as a foundation, the biggest progress, however, I find it is to address the unconscious.
Healing The Unconscious
Unconscious issues are from early childhood and things like inherited from family lineages, karma, and entities or energetic parasites, what Christians call demons.
This area can be called dealing with energy and spirit. Energy has a physical connection like chi energy in acupuncture. Energy is where transformation becomes more automatic intuitively and goes to higher levels. Energy is where coincidences start to go in your favor, you get new insight more easily, and are able to finally understand what was right in front of you.
The overriding emotion of ANS dysregulation is FEAR. Fear disrupts the body energetically at the root chakra at the base of the spine and down the legs. Many unconscious experiences and feelings can contribute to fear. Healing this can be called grounding, getting connected to physical survival first.

Awareness through presence is pausing the mind to feel the body and it’s needs, for focus and intuition. Slow down to relax and choose reactions.
Notice responses to Stress: fight, flight, freeze, or fake.
- Over-reacting to create unnecessary stress, in your own mind, being highly sensitive, taking things personally or getting angry at others (fight, flight)
- Under-reacting or freezing, disassociating, avoiding conflict, not resolving the stress.
- Faking: pretending things are ok, a personality based on managing others expectations, not fully authentic to who you are and your needs.
Activity level regulation: Do you rest enough?
- Chronic fatigue people doing too much
- Athletes over-training because they lack scientific guidelines and are driven by emotional needs that cannot be fulfilled with addiction to work-out highs.
- Prayer to move energy to regulate your nervous system and to support healing.
- Align Spine & Mind, with the cranium, to relax your nervous system, shift to higher brain functions.
Eat to energize, detoxify & immunize.
Move to circulate, align, & relax.
